Bible Verses About Wrath

Bible verses about Wrath, from the Berean Standard Bible.

“Refrain from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret— it can only bring harm.”

“Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

“For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

“But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.”

“But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.”

“Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him. “For all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.”

“Like a muddied spring or a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.”

“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

“A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger calms dispute.”

“Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart in all your abundance, you will serve your enemies the LORD will send against you in famine, thirst, nakedness, and destitution. He will place an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.”

“So I have poured out My indignation upon them and consumed them with the fire of My fury. I have brought their ways down upon their own heads, declares the Lord GOD.”

“Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
