Bible Verses About Pleasing Your Husband

Bible verses about Pleasing your husband, from the Berean Standard Bible.

“She brings him good and not harm all the days of her life.”

“Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.”

“Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.”

“To the woman He said: “I will sharply increase your pain in childbirth; in pain you will bring forth children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”

“The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he lacks nothing of value.”

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

“Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”

“She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She rises while it is still night to provide food for her household and portions for her maidservants. She appraises a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard. She girds herself with strength and shows that her arms are strong. She sees that her gain is good, and her lamp is not extinguished at night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.”

“I am not saying this out of need, for I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances.”

“But as for you, speak the things that are consistent with sound doctrine. Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, and sound in faith, love, and perseverance. Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good. In this way they can train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, managers of their households, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be discredited. In the same way, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. In everything, show yourself to be an example by doing good works. In your teaching show integrity, dignity, and wholesome speech that is above reproach, so that anyone who opposes us will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us. Slaves are to submit to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, not stealing from them, but showing all good faith, so that in every respect they will adorn the teaching about God our Savior. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to everyone. It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age, as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Speak these things as you encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.”

“I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread.”

“But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.”

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does. Not so the wicked! For they are like chaff driven off by the wind. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”

“Her husband is known at the city gates, where he sits among the elders of the land.”

“For even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “If anyone is unwilling to work, he shall not eat.” For we hear that some of you are leading undisciplined lives, accomplishing nothing, but being busybodies. We command and urge such people by our Lord Jesus Christ to begin working quietly to earn their own living.”

“She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.”

“She opens her arms to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.”

“She makes coverings for her bed; her clothing is fine linen and purple.”

“Her husband may confirm or nullify any vow or any sworn pledge to deny herself.”

“The LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you will only move upward and never downward, if you hear and carefully follow the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am giving you today.”

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song.”

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

“He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.”

“Lying lips are detestable to the LORD, but those who deal faithfully are His delight.”

“She girds herself with strength and shows that her arms are strong.”

“Instead, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, not in order to please men but God, who examines our hearts.”
